Hijra Festival 2025 – Press Conference
Saturday, 18 October 2025 | Karachi Press Club | 3:00 PM
As we prepare for Hijra Festival 2025, the festival team invites media, allies, and community members to our press conference at Karachi Press Club.
This year’s festival, held on 25 October 2025, carries the theme:
“From Climate to Identity, From Struggle to Liberation.”
The Hijra Festival has become a vital platform for art, dialogue, and solidarity — connecting transgender, gender-diverse, and allied communities across Pakistan.
Join us to strengthen our shared voice for dignity, safety, and freedom.
Standing for Our Identity, Dignity, Freedom, and Our Land!
We are standing for our identity, dignity, freedom, and our land! The 3rd Annual Hijra Festival 2025 will be held on 25th October at Burns Garden, Karachi, at 4 PM. This year’s theme is: “Standing for Our Identity, Dignity, Freedom, and Our Land”. The festival provides a platform not only for Pakistan but also for the international hijra community to celebrate our culture, solidarity, rights, and commitment to environmental protection. We call on the government, society, and the state to end violence, ensure constitutional rights, implement job quotas, include the community in environmental policies, and provide access to education and healthcare. On 25th October, we invite all progressive Pakistanis to stand with us — not as spectators, but as companions and fellow citizens.
